SHALOM MINISTRIES - OVERVIEW

Angus and Jill Buchan, found Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour on the 18th of February 1979. They dedicated everything that they had to Jesus Christ, hence the birth of Shalom Ministries in1980. Shalom, situated in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, South Africa, is a viable Agricultural Farm. His sons run the farm now which allows him to focus on being a full time Evangelist. He holds campaigns and ministers where ever the Lord Jesus leads all over the world.

Jill is an intercessor, anchor of the ministry, as well as a Mother to all, and responsible for holding the fort while Angus is away. Angus and Jill have 5 children and 4 grandchildren with the 5th one on its way. Angus and Jill have the privilege of having all of their children love and serve the Lord.

Presently, God has called him to minister to people at stadiums.  He has had the privilege of preaching at stadiums throughout South Africa and has seen God move in a way that is touching many hearts.

Shalom Ministries incorporates:

The major thrust and focus of Shalom is Evangelism, to Go into the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. The Seed Sower, a twenty ton self-contained Mercedes Benz 4x4 lorry, equipped with sound system, 40kva lighting plant, lights, portable platform is designed to reach crowds of 65 000 people for this specific purpose. The goal is to undertake mission trips working with the local churches through the different African nations from the Cape to the gates of Jerusalem.

Beth-Hatlaim(House of the Lambs) Children’s Home for 25 orphaned and abandoned children. The children’s home is based on Shalom farm and is being run by Angus’s youngest son Fergus and his wife Ashleigh Buchan.
Beth-Hatlaim aims to provide a permanent home for children, who have been abandoned or orphaned, with no known relatives. They provide care for children who have been infected or affected by HIV/Aids. The Aids epidemic has drastically increased the number of orphaned children in our province and children’s homes such as Beth have become a necessity in our society as more children are abandoned and left to fend for themselves.
They have recently completed two more cottages, bringing the total up to six. Their vision is to have thirty cottages to accommodate 180 children. Beth-Hatlaim is committed to providing a home for the children where they receive well balanced meals, health care, education, clothing, transportation, spiritual nurturing, recreational outings and activities, through dedicated house mother’s making sure that each child receives the care they need.

Shalom oversees the administration of the Halalisani Farm School. The school is run on Christian principles with approximately 200 pupils.
Marc and Mandy pastor Shalom Fellowship. The fellowship is also based on the farm and they meet on Sunday mornings at 8:30. The Fellowship is involved in various community projects including church plants and outreach programs in our area.

Angus is a no compromise man of Faith. He has a passion to preach the Gospel and to do the work of the Lord to the best of his ability. God is particularly using him in the areas of salvation, healing and miracles with signs and wonders following the preaching of the word of God. He has offered his five loaves and two fishes to the Lord and is seeing the Lord’s multiplication to feed many others emotionally, physically and spiritually. There is no telling what God can still do through this yielded vessel with a passion for Jesus.
