Dear Friends

Greetings to you in Jesus precious name.  The Lord says, 'Is not true religion to take care of the widows and orphans?'  James 1:27.  How true is that?  The thing that we often forget is that it is not just for a season or a few months, it is for a lifetime.

Four of our oldest boys are over the age of 18 years and have left the home but there is no ways that they have left the family, in fact they are probably closer to us now than the boys and girls that are still at home.

I will never forget a few years ago some visitors to the Children's Home, asked, not in a malicious way, how long we kept the children here for.  I must say I did have to repent afterwards but I asked them how long they kept their children for.  Of course, the answer is forever.  It is a home that we are running, it is not a hostel or an institution, and we are trying our best to make it that way.

I really want to thank the Lord for the tremendous work that Jill is doing at the moment.  She is a grandmother, although she doesn't look like it, and she is doing a sterling job keeping things ticking over.  It is wonderful to see the growth in the children and just to see how God undertakes for us on a continual basis.

Please keep us in your prayers.  We truly believe that we are not just bringing up children, we are bringing up leaders at Beth Hatlaim.  I firmly believe that possibly the next Billy Graham of Africa will be amongst them and maybe even the next president of South Africa and why not?

What touches my heart more than anything is that they all love going to church and love being part of God's work here at Shalom.

Thank you for your prayers and your love, we really appreciate it!

Yours in Christ
Angus & Jill and the Beth family

Baba Patrick Zondi holding Fafa and Sindi.

During these past holidays the boys from the home were helping Baba Patrick build new chicken houses for our chickens. The building is progressing nicely.

Sindi loves colouring in and learning new things on a daily basis

Sindi loves pantry time, whether it's helping take milk out of the deep freeze or just "chilling" on a bag of mielie meal.

The young children (Zak, Minenhle, Sfanelo & Sindi) have endless hours of fun and games together.
