Dear Friends,

We greet you in the beloved name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
These last few weeks have indeed been one of the most trying times in my Christian walk, for many different reasons.

I am reminded of that beautiful scripture in 1 Peter 4:12 (NKJ) “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christs sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy." In these last few weeks we have encountered much suffering and death. It is as if all the wrath and anger of the devil is being poured out, maybe because he knows that his time is limited and that the judgment is very soon. Everywhere we look we see signs, especially in this beloved continent of ours, Africa. This also applies all over the world. What I would like to encourage you with is that Peter says, If we are going to suffer, be sure that we are suffering as Christians and do not be ashamed of the suffering but let us glorify God in this matter.

It is very easy for the world to see us praising God when everything is going well. When the world really sits up and takes note is when the believer is going through many fiery trials and tribulation. That is when they want to see just how he will respond, exactly as happened with God's servant, Job. The most important thing is that we are suffering for the right things and not the wrong things because, indeed, we are living in perilous times. Even the people in the world can understand that, what with the economy taking so long to recover, with sickness and disease, with the elements being so unpredictable, with the political situations unstable, there doesn't seem to be any hope. However, we are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us. Hallelujah! This is our finest hour. Although we have been through much testing during these last few weeks, many great doors of opportunity have opened up to us at the same time. I am sure you can witness to that.

I would encourage you, loved ones, to run the race. There is no reverse gear for the believer. We will look up because our redemption draws near, the Bible says, and the best is indeed yet to come. As I am writing this letter we are now in the planning stages of "by faith attempting great things for God and expecting great things from God," (William Carey, the man who translated the Bible into many Asiatic languages). We are negotiating booking the soccer stadiums throughout the nation for 2011. Please pray with us through this one. This will undoubtedly be the biggest challenge we have ever encountered since starting this ministry but we are also expecting the greatest response and victory. I really believe that our nation is in the balance. If we, as believers, do not stand up and cry it out from the housetops, we will rue the day that we did not take this opportunity. Please stand with us on this one. We will keep you informed as to the progress.

Our trip to Israel is literally around the corner. I have never been so excited in my life. In excess of 1500 pilgrims are going to Israel and I will be addressing the gala evening outside the walls of the old city. On our day off we will be speaking to the spiritual leaders of Jerusalem. This is truly the most humbling point of my ministry thus far. Being invited to speak to the spiritual leaders of any other city in the whole world would not excite me as much as being invited to speak in Jerusalem because that is where Jesus is coming back, to the Mount of Olives.

Revive London is only weeks away where we will speak eight nights in a row in the heart of London, the London square mile. Please pray for us. GOD channel wants to televise these meetings live right around the world but is encountering some obstacles at the moment. Please pray through that one for us. Remember, if anything is worth having, it always costs. We really believe that these meetings will impact not only Britain but also the rest of the world.

As I'm writing this letter there is a delegation coming down next week from Harare, Zimbabwe. On the 26th September they are hosting a prayer event right through the nation. They are mobilising no less than five million believers in Zimbabwe. These believers will meet in all the different centres. It is the first time in my life that I've heard that every Christian church in Harare will cancel their morning service on that day and come together to seek the Lord. They have asked me to be one of their key note speakers, so we need much prayer in this area, please.

There are many Mighty Men conferences being planned for 2011 all over our nation. I am extremely excited about this move and I'm going to try to be part of as many of them as possible. Please pray for the men of our nation as they continue to take the torch and literally light up the nation for Jesus Christ.

We are so excited to be able to tell you that TBN have given us back two of our programmes. We will once again be broadcast on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 06h00 as of the 1st August until the end of the year. God is definitely undertaking for us in a miraculous way. We need to preach the Gospel at all costs. Paul said, "Woe unto me if I do not preach the Gospel." Folks, the Gospel must be sounded as loud as possible. We need to blow the shofars like never before and call the Christians to make a difference in this tired old world of ours.

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
(1 Corinthians 2:9)

Truly we need to really continue to walk this road by faith and not by sight. I am attaching a thought, a letter, which I felt the Holy Spirit impressed upon me to write in the early hours of the morning, literally in the dark last week, when I had to be part of one of the saddest occasions in my life thus far when my best friend's wife was brutally murdered at the gate of their house at Bulawayo in Zimbabwe. I was extremely sad and very shocked at the situation yet, at the same time, I realised once more that this life is literally nothing more than a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes (James 4:14). God is with us and we will overcome.
May the Lord bless you as you continue to walk by faith in the love of Jesus Christ.

Yours in Christ,

Angus & Jill and the Shalom team
