SHALOM MINISTRIES: PRAYER LETTER

VARIOUS EVENTS

17 August 2010

Dear prayer Partner,

Jesus said that He would build His Church and that the gates of hell would not prevail against it.  The countries that once were the home of many of the pioneers that took the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth are silent. They are in desperate need of the preaching of the Gospel afresh. The campaign to the City of London from 17 – 24 October 2010 is a clear call from God to start again with the building of His Church with the fires of revival in that city in partnership with the SA Congregation (Gemeente) in London. There is also a desire that all the services be televised to the rest of the world on God TV. Please pray earnestly and ask the Lord to provide in every respect for this campaign, both in ministry and finances. (A further and more detailed prayer letter will follow in September.)

Angus has also been invited to be one of the speakers at a mass prayer meeting that will be held in Harare, Zimbabwe on Sunday 26th September 2010. All churches in Zimbabwe have been asked to attend this prayer gathering and the response has been excellent. The purpose of the prayer meeting is for the nation to humble themselves and to pray for the whole nation as well as all the people involved in leadership of the nation. Ask God for the impossible. Ask that millions may attend this meeting and that the whole world may take note that there is a God that cares in Zimbabwe.

One of the highlights in Angus’ spiritual life will no doubt occur on the 6th -7th October when he will have the privilege, pleasure and joy to address the spiritual leaders of Jerusalem. Pray, not only for Angus to get a word from the Lord, but also that the hearts and minds of all present may be touched to become true ambassadors for the Lord in that city of turmoil. Bear in mind that the day of the Lord is nearer now than 2 000 years ago and that we as Christians should pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Brandfort is a small country town in the Free State. The mighty men of the town and the district will be bringing their families and friends, old and young, male and female for a day of thanksgiving, praise, worship and the preaching of the word by Angus to the whole region. Stand with them in prayer and join them in faith that the whole town and district will come out to hear the word and live forever. This event will take place on the 6th November.

Many will agree that the new soccer stadiums were not built only for the fantastic, once off soccer events but also to serve as venues for the preaching of the Gospel. Let us start now to trust the Lord and pray for these stadiums to be made available for the preaching of the Gospel FREE OF CHARGE to the poor, the downcast, the unemployed, the sick, the discouraged, the depressed and those that have lost hope. The costs could still be astronomical but the benefits, both spiritual as well as material, will easily outweigh the cost. Don’t we also have a Father that owns the cattle on a thousand hills and the gold in every mine? Let us start now to set aside that which the Holy Spirit will want us to invest in this venture whether it is time, effort, finance, prayer, publication, sponsorship, support or anything else that may contribute to the success of this venture.

Thanks for your ongoing commitment and support
