SHALOM MINISTRIES: PRAYER LETTER
October 2011

Dear Prayer partner,

Angus and Sias le Roux will be leaving tomorrow for Jerusalem in order to attend the Feast of Tabernacles on Friday where Angus will be ministering at 2 slots in the morning. This is an important day in the life of the Jews as well as the Christians. You will recall that this was the only event that Paul the Apostle made sure to celebrate. On a few occasions he travelled all the way from Asia Minor in order to be in Jerusalem during this time. I have no doubt in my mind that God retained this event as a connection between the Jews and the Church for the purpose of offering His reconciliation in Christ Jesus to the Jews ( 2 Cor 5:18-19). Let us, therefore, ask the Lord to open the eyes of their (both Jews and Gentiles) understanding that they may know what is the hope of His calling. Let us also make intercession with Christ for the lifting of the veil that hangs over the faces of the people of Israel. Let us trust that the Lord Jesus will use this event for the honour and glory of His name.

Please also pray that:
•    Angus and Sias may have a safe and event free journey and flights to and from Jerusalem.
•    They may be protected against all the turmoil that is gripping the Middle East including Israel at the moment.
•    The Gospel of peace and reconciliation with God may bring many to salvation and discipleship.
•    God may give Angus wisdom to speak boldly to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ in a land and nation that rejected their Saviour
•    God will bless and use for His glory all the ministries that will be offered in His name during this time at Jerusalem
•    Jill may be kept safe at home during the absence of Angus.

In the meantime I would also like to urge you to start praying for the campaign that will be held in Dublin, the Republic of Ireland. As soon as I have more details I will let you know what to pray for in particular. Suffice it to say that it will be a great event.

Finally I would like to thank you again for your faithfulness and remind you that the prayers of the Saints are caught up like incense (sweet smelling savour) in golden bowls in the presence of the Lord.
