Dear Friends

1 John 1:9, 'If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness'.  

It is with great joy and thanksgiving that I can report back to you that we had a very successful trip to Jerusalem.  We arrived at the Feast of the Tabernacles in Jerusalem and again God showed me so clearly that He definitely has everything working according to His Holy Word.  I remembered Elijah the great prophet, (one of my heroes in the Bible) and also the patron saint of the Israeli army, a fearless warrior for Christ who slaughtered 350 prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel.  He cried out to God that he was the only prophet left in the world.  The Lord spoke to him very clearly and said there are seven thousand prophets in the next valley, 1 Kings 19:18.  I must say that from time to time I have also felt a bit like Elijah, asking the Lord what is actually happening?  I was so blessed at the Feast of the Tabernacles to see people from every nation on the face of the earth.  It was absolutely amazing, from mainland China to Russia, to South America, to the Far East, not to mention the Middle East and our beloved South Africa - every nation under the sun!  There were 8 different booths doing translations at the same time.  There was a faint sound like a rustling in the mulberry trees from the interpreters and the people with their head phones on.  I was busy preaching and there were a group of Chinese people sitting in front of the platform and I would say something funny and two minutes later when I was talking about something else, they would start laughing!  I was wondering what was going on and then I realised it was just the delay in the interpretation coming through.  God was so gracious!  Please continue to pray for the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem (ICEJ) who host this amazing event every year, for 31 years now.  We are just so grateful to be a small part of it.  God is on the move!  Don't walk by sight, but walk by faith, 2 Cor.5:7.

The Grassroots part of Shalom Ministries is taking off and expanding at a tremendous rate.  We have been able, by the grace of God, to get some better equipment for our filmcrew.  They have been doing such a wonderful job with the minimum amount of equipment but now they will be able to work more efficiently and effectively.  

I cannot believe that we are nearly at the end of another year!  My dear friend, the Lord is not coming soon, He is on His way I tell you!  Please just keep your hearts and minds pure before God.  The Lord has reminded me once again, even this very morning while having my quiet time, that we need to have no issue against our brother or sister and, if we have, then we must confess it, 1 John 1:9.  This is so important in order to live a fulfilled Christian life.  What curtails a lot of us and the power that God has given us is unconfessed sin.  It just eats away like a cancer until you feel so unworthy and unqualified and of course that is exactly what the devil wants.  Just say sorry and get on with your life!

We are working hard on a brand new book called 'The Mighty Men Story' in which we will tell the real story and the whole story of what has taken place and is still taking place all over the world.  Even as I write this letter there was a MMC just down the road in Mooi River and we praise God for that.  The boys have taken the baton and are running with it.  Pray for Ian Gray as he works hard organising a MMC in Yorkshire, England for 25-27 May next year.  

I am very excited about what is going to happen at the Aviva Stadium, Lansdowne Road, Dublin in August 2012.  The prayer cover is really picking up now and we are believing for nothing less than 50,000 people coming to Ireland's biggest stadium.  It will be wonderful if we could have a strong delegation of supporters from South Africa there as well.  

We have also been invited to go to Italy, Norway, Brazil, the USA,  Canada and Singapore next year.  Please pray that I will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit to know where to go and when to go, as a good idea is not always a God idea.  

We are so proud of what God is doing at our Children's Home.  Jill has really taken up the baton and is running with it.  Our children are writing exams at the moment and one of our boys is writing his matric.  It is very easy to start something, but is is another story to complete it!  Please keep our children and staff in your prayers.
